Founded in 2013 by Rajan Gajjar, Altitude Designs was established as an architecture, interior design, and research practice grounded in the philosophies of Place and Purpose. From the outset, the studio has been driven by a profound respect for context, culture, and the belief that meaningful design emerges from a deep understanding of its environment while serving a clear and enduring purpose.
In 2016, Co-Founder Nilam Gajjar joined
introducing a vital dimension through the philosophies of People and Energy. Her perspective reinforced the understanding that exceptional design is not only seen, but experienced — through human emotions, interactions, well-being, and the intangible qualities that bring spaces to life.
Together, these philosophies form our foundation: meaningful environments rooted in Place, centred on People, driven by Purpose, and enriched by Energy.
We work across residences, workplaces, healthcare, and destination projects with a consistent intent: create places that feel precise, calm, honest, and deeply usable. That consistency is what gives the firm its character, and the reason clients return to us for long-term collaborations.
Every project is an opportunity to explore more deeply, design with intent, and shape a space that holds clarity and character.
Our process blends research, design thinking, technical rigour, and project coordination. We shape the brief carefully, test ideas against real constraints, and stay involved through execution so the final result remains faithful to the original intent.
This approach allows us to move across scales and typologies while keeping one consistent standard: a calm, conscious, and enduring experience for the people who use the space.
A conscious sequence that balances exploration, clarity, design depth, and execution discipline.
The process is structured enough to create clarity and flexible enough to respond to the unique needs of each site, brief, and client relationship.
We begin by understanding the brief, site conditions, aspirations, and operational realities that will shape the project.
Early concepts are tested against context, use, and feasibility so the direction becomes inspiring and grounded.
Design intent is translated into drawings, materials, systems, and coordinated decisions that support precise execution.
We stay involved through implementation to protect the idea, resolve realities on site, and bring the project home with care.
Clients come to us for aesthetic clarity and stay with us for the ethics, values, intent, and consciousness that shape every decision behind our work.
Long-term trust is built through careful exploration, clear process, and spaces that continue to feel right long after completion.
